How This Site Makes Money
Last updated: September 2026
Right now, it doesn't. His and Her doesn't carry any affiliate links, advertising, or sponsored content right now. This page exists because that will change, and when it does you should be able to read exactly how before you click anything.
What will change
In time, some links here will be affiliate links. If you use one to buy something, we may earn a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same. The commission comes out of the seller's margin, not your pocket.
How that will be marked
Wherever affiliate links appear, a visible notice will sit above them, on the same page, not buried in this footer link. You won't have to go looking for it, and you won't run into a paid link without being told first.
What money doesn't buy
This is the part that matters:
- No one pays for a recommendation. If something is recommended here, it is because we think it's good.
- Commission doesn't change a verdict. If a product is poor, we'll say so, including when there's a paid link to it.
- Things we can't earn from still get recommended when they're the right answer.
- We won't invent experience we don't have. Where a recommendation comes from research rather than personal use, it will say so.
Sponsored content
There's none. If that ever changes, it will be labelled as sponsored, in plain language, at the top of the piece.
